Lighthouse

I really enjoyed putting this lighthouse craft together and collecting the bits to decorate it with. It reminds me of evenings watching the flickering lights of the lighthouse at Happisburgh. In the reflection we think about Gods’ light warning, protecting and guiding us.

A glue gun will make this craft a lot easier but is not essential. You will also need a bread knife, chopping board, pencil and ruler/tape measure.

Driftwood Boat

This kit makes me think of summer days watching the boats on the river Deben. In our reflection we look at Jesus calming the storm in the book of Mark. We all need some of that calm today. For this you will need a glue gun, pen/fabric marker, pencil, needle, paper, scissors fabric/sharp scissors. Optional Pinking shears.

NB: A glue gun is essential!

Dragonfly Embroidery

This was inspired by time spent on the Norfolk broads during my summer holiday. I love the colours and details in the amazing dragonflies that darted all around.

The kit includes a small embroidery hoop, the pattern and all you need to create this mini embroidery.

The reflection suggest God may be doing more then we think and invited us to look for Him more closely.

In addition to the kit you will need:

Scissors and a pencil

Macrame Leaves – Autumn Colours

Get in the autumnal mood with these simple macrame leaves in beautiful autumn coloured yarns. The kit includes enough materials to create three leaves, you can then hang the leaves individually or arrange them together to make an autumn mobile.

Or why not invite a couple of friends over and make one each.

The reflection encourages us to re-think our priorities and consider where God most wants us to invest our time.

In addition to the kit you will need:

A pen, paper scissors and ideally sharp fabric scissors.

If you want to turn your leaves into a mobile you will need to find a suitable small stick or branch and some string.

Felt Bird Kit

This kit is to make one cute little hanging bird. Colours and fabrics vary.

I try to re-use and recycle where I can, so some fabrics may be odd shapes as they are offcuts from other projects. There will always be plenty of material to make your bird.

You do need to sew, but a simple straight or running stitch will work.

There is also a small packet of bird seed included to see what birds you can attract where you live.

This reflection invites us to draw close to God often, meet with Him and listen out for what He has to say.

In addition to the kit you will need:

A pen, paper scissors and ideally sharp fabric scissors. Possibly a smaller needle than the one included to attach beads for eyes.

Christmas Kit

As Christmas approaches, spend some time making six beautiful handmade Christmas cards to give to those you love.

Kit includes everything you need for the cards. You will need some colouring pencils and a pen to write your cards with.

In our Christmas Reflection, we compare the nativity story in our heads to what the Bible actually says and think about the Son of God leaving Heaven to be born in an animals pen.
